Again, in this study slightly over half of the monuments were already part of the previous studies (Surrey I - III), and that shows how important the geometric interconnection was between
them.
Coming back to 'Prehistoric Traces in Surrey (UK) II', this study indicates that the Chaldon church is not only equidistant (7.27 km, always measured horizontally) from the enclosure 'Tadworth
II' (523.575/155.225) and from the earthwork Castlehill/Godstone (536.310/150.815), but also from Tumble Beacon in Banstead (cf. 'Surrey III').
The straight line Chaldon church - enclosure 'Tadworth II' leads to the motte Walton Manor in Walton-on-the-Hill. Chaldon church is equidistant (8.64 km) from Walton Manor and the
church St.Leonard's in Chelsham.
The straight line church St.Leonards - Chaldon church goes to the church St.Martin in Dorking; Chaldon church is equidistant (15.57 km) from this church and from the moat The
Mounts in Leatherhead.
The moat Cudworth Manor/Newdigate (526.150/141.825) is equidistant (16.84 km) from the moat The Mounts and from the Chaldon church.
On the other hand, the moat Horley (527.300/143.115) is equidistant (12.95 km) from the Chaldon church and from the motte Walton Manor.
The straight line Walton Manor - moat Horley goes to the neighbouring moat St.Batholomew's/Horley (527.470/142.690); the enclosure Woldingham Road/Limpsfield (539.125/154.975) is
equidistant (16.83 km) from this moat and Walton Manor.
An interesting multiple, connected equidistance (five times!) starts with the above mentioned moat The Mounts which is equidistant (8.50 km) from Betchworth castle and from the enclosure
'Tadworth II', quoted before. The same distance between enclosure 'Tadworth II' and the Nutfield church, and between this church and the moat Horley, but also between Betchworth castle and the
mound Tadworth (North) (523.640/157.225).
The straight line enclosure 'Tadworth II' - Nutfield church passes via the Gatton church/Reigate; the enclosure 'Tadworth II' is then equidistant (4.58 km) from this church and from
the Buckland church, and the Gatton church equidistant (5.72 km) from the Buckland church and from the mound Tadworth (South) (523.675/157.185).
Betchworth castle is also equidistant (6.84 km) from the enclosure 'Tadworth II' and the Fetcham church.
